CLARIFICATION ON ADMISSIBILITY OF RATION MONEY ALLOWANCE DURING CHILD CARE LEAVE, MATERNITY LEAVE AND PATERNITY LEAVE



       Force Hqrs has received a query from field formations on admissibility of Ration MoneyAllowances during Child care leave, Maternity leave and Paternity.


02. The matter was referred to BSF Directorate, for advice, being nodal CAPF on grant of Ration Money Allowance. Directorate has clarified vide their letter No.20/85/88/Adm.IV/BSF /11 /3581 dated 07.12.2011 as under:-


As per MHA Order No.ll-27012/26/98-PF-I dated 3rd Sept 2007, Ration Money Allowance would continue to be paid du- ring Earned Leave at sliding scale at full rate for the first 60 days and at half the rate for next 60 days to CPFs personnel. In other words, the Ration Money Allowance is not admissible during any other kind of leave except during Earned leave as per conditions mentioned above.


03. In view of the above. Ration Money Allowance may not be admissible during the Child care leave, Maternity Leave and Paternity leave."
